Elementary (6–12) Level Prerequisites

The following requirements must be met before applying to the join the AMI Training of Trainers Programme at the Elementary (6–12) Level:

• AMI Elementary (6-12) diploma
• AMI Primary (3-6) diploma
• A minimum of six years total teaching experience at the elementary level.  This will consist of work in both lower (6-9 - 3 consecutive years minimum) and upper (9-12 - 2 years minimum) or in a 6-12 environment directing a class of children where the Montessori principles and practice are implemented. 
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in your own country 
• AMI membership
• A classroom observation visit by someone appointed by the Training Group or, in countries with AMI recognised schools, a report from a classroom observation visit made within the past 5 years
