Assistants to Infancy (0–3) Level Prerequisites
The following requirements must be met before applying to the join the AMI Training of Trainers Programme at the Assistants to Infancy (0–3) Level:
- AMI Assistants to Infancy (0–3) diploma
- AMI Primary/Casa dei Bambini/Children’s House (3–6) diploma
- A minimum of five years experience, at least two of which are consecutive, in an infant/toddler community where the Montessori principles and practice are implemented; of the additional three years, a combination of Nido and Infant Community practice or just Infant Community practice is acceptable. Three years of parent/child education sessions are considered as being equivalent to one year of experience.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in your own country
- AMI membership
- A classroom observation visit by someone appointed by the Training Group or, in countries with AMI recognised schools, a report from a classroom observation visit made within the past 5 years
